The University of St. Thomas School of Law is a private Catholic law school located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 1923, it is the only law school in the state of Minnesota to offer an American Bar Association-accredited program. It is also the only Catholic law school in the five-state region of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. The school offers a full-time Juris Doctor (JD) degree program that emphasizes professional development, as well as a part-time JD program for working professionals. The University of St. Thomas School of Law offers a variety of tuition and scholarship options to help make the cost of a law degree more affordable. Tuition for the three-year program is $42,000 per year, with an additional $1,500 in fees each year. The school also offers merit scholarships based on academic performance, as well as need-based grants and loans. For those seeking to pursue a joint degree in law and another subject, such as business or public policy, tuition is discounted by 10%.
