Tuition & Scholarships: University of Kansas

The University of Kansas School of Law offers a variety of tuition and scholarship options to students. Tuition for the three-year Juris Doctor program is $34,500 per year for in-state students and $41,000 per year for out-of-state students. The school also offers several scholarships to help offset the cost of tuition. Merit-based scholarships are available through the KU Endowment Association, including the Dean’s Scholarship and the Chancellor’s Scholarship, which are both full tuition awards for up to three years. Additionally, need-based scholarships are offered through the KU Office of Financial Aid. These awards range from partial tuition assistance to full tuition coverage and can be applied for by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For those who qualify financially, federal loans are also available to help cover tuition costs.
