Compote of Peach: 4 Recipes Full of Flavor

The compote is a sweet that can be made from almost all fruits, the peach is one of the most common. Composed of about 85% water, fiber and other nutrients, its sweet taste and consistency lightweight makes it a great fruit to make a compote of peach.

1. COMPOTE PEACH SIMPLE

The first hint of jam of peach is the simple one that combines the fruit only with the flavors of lemon and cinnamon.

– Ingredients –

  • 1 kg of peaches, ripe
  • 500 g of brown sugar
  • 1 stick of cinnamon small
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 shell small lemon

– Mode of preparation –

  1. Peel the peaches, remove the cores and cut them into half moons. Arrange a layer in a pan and put a little sugar, repeat the operation until the end, being the last with the sugar.

2. JAM OF PEACH WITH ORANGE

The combination of these fruits well know to a jam more citrus, it takes the peels of the orange, not just the juice.

– Ingredients –

  • 1.2 kg of peaches (weighed after peeled and descaroçados)
  • 900 g sugar
  • The grated rind of two oranges
  • Juice of 1 orange

– Mode of preparation –

  1. In a large pan place the peach party is in pieces and the sugar, mixing well to dissolve the sugar.

3. JAM OF PEACH WITH WALNUTS

If you like a marmalade with pieces of dried fruit, this tip with nuts is special to you.

– Ingredients –

  • 1.25 g of ripe peaches
  • 1 orange peeled and cut into thin rings
  • 900 g of granulated sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 50 g walnuts , chopped roughly
  • 1-2 tablespoons of brandy (optional)

– Mode of preparation –

  1. Peel the peaches, cut into pieces and reserve the seeds.
  2. Place the pieces of peach with the orange slices and the sugar into a bowl and leave to 4h or from one day to the other.
  3. Place the fruit in a saucepan and heat along with the cores in a muslin and leave to cook on a low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. After bringing to the boil leave it for 15-20 minutes or until bubble.
  4. Remove the bag with the lumps and add the lemon juice, the brandy, if you want to, and the nuts.
  5. Place in jars, sterilized and cover with waxed paper before sealing.

4. JAM OF PEACH WITH SPICES

In this last option, the peach has its flavor well when mixed with various spices such as ginger and pepper to a jam is the most balanced sugar.

– Ingredients –

  • 8 cups of fresh peaches chopped and lightly mashed
  • 4 spoons (soup) of lemon juice squeezed in height
  • 6 tablespoons (soup) of pectin fruit powder
  • 4 cups of sugar

  • 1/2 spoon (tea) of nutmeg powder

  • 1 cup of water

– Mode of preparation –

  1. Mix the peach chopped the lemon juice, sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat to boil for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens a little.
  2. With a wooden spoon, mash a little peach. Add the pectin dissolved in 1/2 cup of water and let the mixture boil again. Stir constantly.
  3. Add the spices and the ginger. Let it boil a little longer, until the desired point.
  4. Remove from the heat, remove the foam that may form on the surface. Let it rest for 5 minutes and place in containers previously sterilized, leaving a space of 1 cm to the edge. Cover, let cool and refrigerate.
