Aromatherapy in Pregnancy

Aromatherapy is a branch of herbal medicine that uses flavourings produced by plants and flowers to alleviate and relieve some symptoms and problems, are extracted essential oils that alone or combined with each other dealing with a number of situations. Essential oils can be used diluted through massages, creams, lotions, gel or through inhalation.

Pregnancy is not an illness, but carries some problems that cause some discomfort in women, aromatherapy is a natural way to help alleviate some of the common symptoms of pregnancy such as insomnia, grooves, heartburn or nausea, but aromatherapy should always be used with the advice of a specialized person.

Aromatherapy is a good therapy for use during pregnancy, but also in the post delivery, however, is not advisable the use of essential oils before 5 months of gestation and even then must have the advice of a specialized person because some essential oils have chemical elements that can cause contractions.

To combat fatigue

Use tangerine or grapefruit oils.

To alleviate the nausea

Use essential oils of lavender, camomile and Orange or ginger and lemon.

To prevent stretch marks

Use the oils of Neroli, lavender and Mandarin orange.

To prevent varicose veins

Use the oils of Lemongrass, lavender and geranium.
