Toys for Children of Every Age

Many parents feel lost with the huge range and variety of toys, causing them to have doubts when giving their children and identifying which is the best option both in terms of entertainment and learning for each age of children.

As one of the goals of play is to stimulate skills, these parents, anxious to develop skills, make wrong choices not being attentive to the needs of each of the stages of child development.

Toys As A Stimulus In The Right Measure

“Some parents tend to buy toys recommended at a later age than their son because they believe that this will accelerate the child’s development, which ends up discouraging and causing disinterest,” explains Maria Ângela Barbato Carneiro, a professor at the Faculty of Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and coordinator of the toy library at this university.

To make the right choice when it comes to buying toys, some aspects must be observed, such as demonstrating the child’s interest and the coherence between the child’s age and the complexity of understanding the use and safety of the toy material .

It is also important to try to ally, in a pleasant way for the young, the fun to the developmental needs in the personality.

For example, a very shy child should not only have the concentration games that she usually prefers, but also toys that combine this feature of attention with socialization, such as those that promote multiplayer interaction.
